An MBA's Appointment with an Achiever

According to you, what is success? What do you understand by the word achievement? People who are roaming around the street and keep updating there resumes in various online job sites for fresh job entries every day are very much familiar with the above questions. They are well prepared and well rehearsed with answers. These are like some of the loose deliveries in the final over of the match and also in a very crucial situation.

Every year thousands and if not millions of MBA's passing out of various recognized, unrecognized colleges and B-Schools of India. There is a great opportunity to conduct a survey among these students about what they feel after completion of there study. Do they believe that they are successful in life? At least can think of being successful in near future? Actually what they think about being an achiever honestly from deep down corner of there heart? Most of them, if answer is from there heart, will tell you that they want huge money in the bank. First and for most parameter of measuring success!! It is right or wrong attitude... sorry, I do not have any opinion about that. Only thing which I really want to share here is that no one can enjoy or celebrate there success with out money.

There is no shame to share here that I am also a member of that large community who are just banging there head in each and every street corner of the city for a good job with there only weapon called "CV" with a flashy educational column written on top "MBA". There are "N" numbers of jobs are available in the second fastest growing economies market for very few number of people who are like to call themselves as "Experienced". So, there are very less oppurtunities left there to learn and contribute towards family and in to the nations GDP from larger perspective.

Only and probably the best option in these situation left there is to become an entrepreneur. To be an entrepreneur one must have vision, eager to achieve the goal and some money of course. Generally any pass out of a good quality ( not talking about premiere colleges) B-School do have these qualities. More over these qualities are in build, I do not believe that one can be taught about how s/he can set there vision of life, eager to achieve. If they have these qualities with them, then why they are doing an MBA? This questions answer is not clear to most of them. Many of them do not want to take risk in life, status, peer pressure, parental pressures are also there. We will get back to this discussion, lets take a short story break in between to find the meaning of success and achievement in real terms.

As a student of MBA in Marketing, I have a dream to be a part of advertising industry. I frequently search google for latest advertising developments and information related to companies in business. Mumbai HC verdict on PORN

Among teenaged minors, particularly boys in urban societies, watching a 'blue film'—a euphemism for pornography—is often considered a rite of passage, a coming-of-age staple, albeit a furtive one. But can adults who view pornographic content be charged with obscenity if they are doing so in private? No, says the Bombay high court.

Justice Vijaya Kapse-Tahilramani of the Bombay High Court on Wednesday quashed obscenity charges against top customs officers who were arrested following a police raid at a bungalow in Lonavla in 2008. Merely viewing an "obscene" film in the privacy of a house is not obscenity as defined under Indian Criminal Law, the court ruled.

The customs officers were raided while allegedly watching a pornographic film on a laptop and dancing with bar girls, the police had claimed.

"Simply viewing an obscene object is not an offence," Justice Tahilramani said. "It becomes an offence only when someone has in possession such objects for the purpose of sale, hire, distribution, public exhibition or putting it into circulation. If the obscene object is kept in a house for private viewing, the accused cannot be charged (for obscenity)."

The court held that the private viewing of an obscene film on a laptop in a bungalow was not tantamount to public exhibition.

The prosecution's argument that the accused were dancing with the bar girls in an obscene manner did not cut ice with the court. The HC said the people were dancing among themselves and not for public exhibition. "Proceedings against the accused (on obscenity charges) will be an abuse of the process of the court," said the judge.
The officers, however, are still charged under provisions of the Bombay Prohibition Act for consuming liquor without a permit.

The case dates back to August 2008, when police raided a bungalow at Taj Cottages in Lonavla's Frichhly Hill. The cops arrested 22 customs officials who were partying along with 11 bar girls. They were charged under section 292 of the Indian Penal Code (for sale, public exhibition of obscene objects) and prohibition laws. If convicted, the accused face a jail term of a maximum of two years. For a second or any subsequent conviction, the accused can be sentenced to a maximum jail term of five years.

The prosecution claimed that the bungalow was a lodge, and a public place. The accused, therefore, were publicly exhibiting the obscene film, the prosecution contended. Senior advocate Adik Shirodkar and advocate Samir Vaidya refuted this and pointed out that it was not the prosecution's case that anyone from the public could have walked into the bungalow. "It was a private party to which the public had no access," the lawyers said.
